The School counselor addresses the academic success, career self-awareness and social/emotional resiliency of all students. All students have access to a Comprehensive School Counseling Program.

Vision: All individuals who learned in the Arlington Public School system embrace the concept of the whole adult and are practiced in the skills of self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision-making, relationship building and social awareness and are fulfilled in life.

Ms. Olivia Proietti

Ms. Proietti

Hi, my name is Olivia Proietti (pronounced pro-yeti). Your student may know me as Ms. P. I am a full-time counselor at Science Focus, working primarily with students in grades 3-5. I grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut. I studied Psychology and Education at Syracuse University (Go Orange!) and received my Masters in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. I have been working at Science Focus for the past 6 years. My favorite parts of my job are helping students build friendships, work through problems, and build self-efficacy. Some of my interests include reading, running, and skiing. I feel lucky to work at a school that prioritizes partnerships between students, staff, and families. We work so hard together to help each and every student develop a sense of belonging and to foster a supportive learning environment. Stop by the counseling office any time!
