English Learners

Welcome to EL at Arlington Science Focus!
Students at ASFS come from all over the world and speak many different languages. Each day brings fresh new opportunities for learning.
Our goals:

To ensure that our English language learners attain English proficiency in order to develop high levels of academic achievement.
To assist English language learners in meeting the same challenging academic content standards that all students are expected to meet.
Program components:
High Intensity Language Training (HILT) for students with beginning to intermediate English proficiency
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) for students with advanced English proficiency
Bridging for students who have exited from direct ESOL/HILT services

My name is Halee Wilson. I am an English Learner teacher at ASFS. I am originally from Florida. I have a bachelors of education from University of South Florida. I have a masters in English as a Second Language from University of Alabama at Birmingham. My husband, three children and I all reside in Arlington.
