I’m so glad to be here at ASFS for my second year as half-time reading specialist! I retired last summer from Fairfax County Public Schools where I was a reading specialist, first grade teacher and special educator for 34 years! I have degrees from the College of William and Mary and the University of Virginia. I’ve also taught a graduate course at Johns Hopkins University, and did diagnostic testing as part of multidisciplinary school functioning teams in Boston and San Diego. My dear husband Mike and I have three grown children (an attorney, an electrical engineer and a teacher!) and four grandchildren (residing in California, North Carolina and here in Arlington who I can visit often after school!).

My name is Mrs. Kaiser and I am a reading specialist. I work with students in all grades at Arlington Science Focus. I received my master’s degree in education and reading specialist certification from the University of Virginia. I have been teaching in APS for over 15 years. I live with my husband in Alexandria, VA and have two grown children. I love reading, cooking and spending time with my dog, Joey!
