Special Education/SEPTA

Welcome back, ASFS families!

Parent Friederike Niepmann serves as the SEPTA parent liaison at ASFS.  SEPTA is a county-wide PTA dedicated to supporting families and students that receive special education. The liaison’s role is to bring SEPTA information to ASFS and support families and teachers here. News & information will be shared  through the Electric News but also through a Special Education Distribution list. If you would like to be added, please email Friederike.Niepmann@gmail.com

Upcoming events:

• First SEPTA meeting of the year: Thursday, September 26, 7pm, Syphax Education Center (2110 Washington Blvd, Arlington, VA 22204) and via Zoom.

• ASFS SPED Family Picnic: Sunday, September 29, 3-5pm, Hayes Park. Come and get to know other ASFS families and enjoy some ice cream and play time!
