Ms. Sydney Lewis

Ms. Lewis

I have been teaching fourth grade at ASFS for nine years. Teaching is a “second” career for me. For nearly 25 years, I worked to promote economic growth in Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe during its transition to a market economy. I have a Masters in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Bucknell University. My two children are proud alumni of Arlington Science Focus School. I am an avid walker and reader and love to teach.

Mr. Forrest Chilton

Mr. Chilton

I was born May 3, 1966 in Fort Riley, Kansas to Forrest and Valerie Chilton. I have one sister, Annemarie who resides in Lawrence, Kansas. I’ve been married to Dr. Gioia Chilton(Art Therapy) for 27 years and we have two daughters-Tabitha and Annabel. This is my 36th year teaching after graduating with a BS ELED from Bucknell University in 1989. I am fortunate to have had wonderful teaching experiences in diverse grade levels in Prince George’s County, Fairfax County, and now in Arlington at ASFS. In our free time we enjoy taking long walks, fly fishing in the Catskills of NY, and college sports. Go Bison and Bolts!

My name is Elise Offutt and I am teaching 4th grade this year! I was born and raised in Arlington Public Schools and found a deep love of learning in this school system. I attended Butler University and got degrees in both Elementary Education and Spanish. I then moved to Nashville, TN where I taught for a few years. I just moved back to Arlington and joined the ASFS family!

Mr. Petrucelli

Mr. Petrucelli

Hello fourth graders and family members! My name is Billy Petrucelli and I am so excited to be joining the ASFS family this school year! I was born in Fredericksburg, Virginia and graduated from Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. I have wanted to become a teacher as long as I can remember because of how much my own teachers inspired me growing up. I have had the pleasure of working as a teacher in the Florida Keys, Colorado, and now back at home in Virginia! Outside of school, you can find me reading a book, running, or traveling to our beautiful national parks. Let’s go Lightning Bolts!
